Pete Harris, SES Water’s Head of Production, said; “We recognise that one-off major incidents in Godstone and Cheam in the last year have impacted on our record as an industry leader in supply interruptions.
“We continue to invest in the resilience of our network to reduce the risk of interruptions, and when things do go wrong we always work hard to put things right as quickly as possible.
“Although we narrowly missed our target for mains repairs, we were pleased to improve our performance in this area to remain the industry leader, which is an important indicator of a resilient network.
“We are also proud to remain a top industry performer for support to our customers and the delivery of the highest quality water, and as we face a rapidly changing climate and evolving weather patterns we are focussed on investing further to deliver long-term resilience, customer affordability and environmental protection.”
