Pollution Incident Reduction Plan
Our plan to reduce pollution incidents and protect the environment
What is a Pollution Incident Reduction Plan (PIRP)?
A Pollution Incident Reduction Plan is a regulatory requirement for UK water companies. It sets out how we will reduce pollution incidents to protect public health and the environment.
Our PIRP plan is reviewed and updated annually to reflect performance and progress. It brings together how we monitor our network, maintain and upgrade our assets, manage risk, and embed the right behaviours and processes across the organisation to prevent pollution.
Our Plan to Reduce Pollution Incidents and Protect the Environment
Our Pollution Incident Reduction Plan (PIRP) explains how we identify, respond to, and reduce sources of pollution from our network.
Our plan sets out the actions and commitments we are making to protect rivers, coastlines, and communities in our region.
Our Plan to 2030
Our PIRP document outlines the programme of improvements we will deliver in the years ahead to reduce pollution risks and support long‑term environmental protection.
